From Naples to Your Neighborhood
'SilverPlain. started with one ambitious goal: to deliver true Neapolitan pizza to Rome. The Romano family opened our doors in 1985 as a quaint, family-oriented pizzeria, presenting recipes passed down for generations.
Marco Romano, our pioneering founder, honed her pizza-crafting skills through her extensive travels across Italy, particularly learning from experienced pizzaiolos in Naples—the homeland of pizza. Once back in the UK, her mission became to reproduce the essence of real Italian pizza, sticking to age-old techniques and sourcing top-tier ingredients.
From our original 12-seat location, we've expanded into a cherished neighborhood fixture. All the while, our dedication to excellence and genuine craft remains steadfast. Our traditional wood-fired ovens continue to bake our dough, prepared from scratch each day, paired with the best ingredients available.
'SilverPlain.' still thrives as a family enterprise, now under the guidance of the Romanos’ second generation. Though we’ve incorporated contemporary updates, our business ethos stays true to creating scrumptious, real-deal pizza that unites people.
